Andreas Lindholm

Artist/Concept Designer/Creative Director

With over 20 years of professional experience, Andreas Lindholm’s works ranging from creative direction and concept design, branding, graphic design, typography, 3D graphics, web design, interface and interaction design.

Andreas career began in the North of Sweden as a self taught graphic designer at a small local newspaper in 1994. After a few years doing advertisement and tabloids on a daily basis, Andreas moved to Stockholm to explore new possibilites. In late 1997 – Andreas begun a close cooperation with legendary Anders F Rönnblom (visual artist and well known Swedish musician) who ran a high profile international art and design magazine – EFX Art & Design (formerly known as the Mac Art & Design magazine). Andreas contributed with articles, reviews, artworks and advices for the magazine for several years until early 2003.


Together with Rönnblom – Andreas also founded the Metalheart Project in 1998 – a project that ended up in two popular books – with over 23.000 sold copies worldwide. The books where published by Harper Collins and Ginko Press for the European and US markets. The books where furthermore translated into Japanese via the design exchange network and Agosto Design Graphix in Japan where the stock sold out. Andreas artworks was frequently published in design- and art books and magazines and publications all over the world.


During his first years in Stockholm, Andreas started to work for the web agency Centrum, where he advanced from web designer to creative director for the agency during 1997-99. Centrum created and produced websites and E-commerce solutions for Swedish and international companies, such as Bonniers Förlag, MCI Worldcom, Jetweb, Svenska Dagbladet, Modesty, Funplanet, Boxer, Veckans Affärer and more.


Andreas also held lectures at several design schools in Sweden and hosted workshops and speeches at Europe’s biggest 3D graphics expo – 3D festival in Sweden, Copenhagen and London for several years. Andreas also did most of the branding, campaigns, corporate identity and large format artworks for the events during 2000-2003 – where he also contributed to the internationally renowned art exhibition Digital Hall of Fame with several exhibitions in Europe, USA and Japan.


1999 – Andreas founded the Swedish design studio Megafront – a company specializing in visual productions for television and film. Andreas and his college Klas Jonsson crafted identities, commercials, animations and video editing for McCann Ericson (Milano), Samsung, Boxer TV, 3D Festival, TV8, SVT (Andreas work was also featured in the classic Swedish TV Show Mosquito, hosted by Thomas Jylling).


2001 – Megafront was acquired by Magnus Björkman – who shortly after changed the business direction for the company and became the official distributor of Alias Wavefront (high-end 3D softwares) in the Nordic countries under the name Megafront.


2002 – Andreas started to work and collaborate with motion designer Mattias Lindberg, aka. "Fakepilot", and they founded “The International Style” a virtual agency doing mainly web based work for international clients. Via established agents in the US, Andreas and Mattias created well recognized productions for clients like Sean John, Diddy, Lonely Planet, Sandvik, Digital Arts Expo (UK), Heineken, Atlantic Records, Ruffryders Records and others.


In 2004 Andreas moved from Sweden to Chile with his wife and continued to work on project basis for The International Style until 2011.


2006 – Andreas was contacted by a Swedish company that needed help with branding and design. The work included overall visual identity, STB/IPTV hardware design, user interfaces and general improvements to the overall business concept. The company came to create several innovations for fair online trading and use of micro transactions and aimed for global standard with solutions that was patented in several countries. Menyou was produced to a functional Online platform for both E-commerce and fair micro store.


Menyou never made it to the global level the company aimed for and was recently closed down for good.


Employment and projects in Chile


2011 – Andreas was recruited by the design agency Porta4 in Santiago, Chile – where he worked as senior designer with CCU's Cerveza Cristal (Chiles most known beer brand) as main project. Andreas made visual prototypes for the brand’s new line of premium products.


2012 – Andreas was contacted by the Chilean design and branding agency Puerto Diseño – and was offered the Creative Director position for the agency. Andreas worked with creative direction, brand strategy and design for mayor Chilean brands and companies; Lipigas, Revista Capital, Minuto Verde, Bolsa de Santiago, Hotel Presidente, Reciclapolis, and others....


As independent consultant for Chilean clients – Andreas have worked with: Prevsis Software, Done Winemakers, Garcia+Schwaderer Winemakers, Smart Foods Ltd., Fondart, Konn Recordings, Sonorama Productions, Art/Os Danza, Cerveza Tübinger, Cervezeria Principal, Peaks & Valleys, Daf and more...
